Roker in Sunderland.

Roker was our base during our stay in the north east; a pleasant, clean, and picturesque seaside location. It was a pleasure to walk along the sea front, and then to divert through Roker Park.

Roker - like many places in the area - has floral displays liberally spread around the streets, and of course in the park, where we spent several enjoyable times walking and sitting alongside the boating pool.

We stayed at the Chaise Hotel, and were really looked after by the host - Peter Snaith - and his staff. Surely a modern day Basil Fawlty!

A walk along the breakwater to Roker lighthouse is a pleasant way to walk off any meal, passing the time of day with other walkers, and enjoying the views.

During the Sunderland International Air Show, at Roker you will enjoy optimum views of the entire spectacle, and Roker is within easy walking distance of all the static displays and attrations.
