Welcome to the North East of England.

The River Tyne and the Tyne Bridges.

Arguably the most famous location in the North East is the River Tyne, certainly one of the locations most associated with Newcastle. We visited the Tyne on a Sunday, when the Sunday market - with all of its' attractions - was in full swing. There were dancers, musicians, and a balloon shaper, all adding to the carnival atmosphere on what was otherwise an ordinary day.

The area boasts so much history, and has the old buildings that were so much a part of that history.
